Welcome…I’m so glad you’re here for 13 Days of Halloween – Day Three! Today I’m sharing a monstrous-ly fun project featuring the Monster Die and Halloween Fillings Mini Stamp Set…both from Ink to Paper!
Halloween means Monster Pancakes at our house…a fun family tradition that our grandsons LOVE! I make my favorite made-from-scratch pancakes…and they get to create their own boo-tiful breakfast with lots of sweet goodies.
I thought it would be fun set their places at the table with something cute with monster sweets inside. So…I grabbed a stack of tin tie coffee bags and filled them with everything they’ll need for a scary fun time, including:
- Candy Corn
- Candy Eyes
- Mini M&M’s
- Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- Reese’s Pieces
- Mini Oreo Cookies
- Orange Slices
- Rope Licorice
We also have blueberries, strawberries and chocolate and maple syrups on the table…and canned whipped cream, of course. I love how much fun the boys have…and they always get super creative with their monsters.
To create the bag wraps I die cut the Monster Die pieces in several cardstock colors…and then spent some putting the pieces together. I cut the labels in DSP from my stash…tied the labels to the bags using Orange Zest Twill Tape…and added the monsters. I stamped and added tags using the Halloween Fillings Mini Stamp Set, too.
And…here’s the pancake recipe I always use:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
- 2 large, lightly beaten eggs
- 2 to 2-1/4 cups whole milk
- Melt butter and allow to cool.
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Add cooled butter, eggs and milk.
- Stir only until combined.
- Drop in desired size onto hot, buttered griddle, turning when browned.
