Welcome…I’m glad you’re here! Today I’m sharing some fun projects using the latest Catherine Pooler Designs collection…Hello Sunshine. They’ve teamed up with Scrapbook.com to promote these sweet, new products…and I’m super excited to join the fun. So…let’s get started!
I’ve written here that popsicles are a BIG deal in our house…and in fact all cold treats are! The Hello Sunshine collection is right at home here…and I got to work giving a watercolor look to this trio of cool cards!
I LOVE how bright everything is…and the water coloring was super easy with my Catherine Pool Designs inks. I simply made a pool of ink in the lid by squeezing it into the pad…grabbed my brush and a bit of water…and added the color to the images die cut on watercolor paper. I kept this first card clean and simple by pairing two treats and a fun sentiment from the I Scream You Scream Stamp Set…adding only a bit of black splatter and the gorgeous Charleston Sequin Mix…also a part of the Hello Sunshine collection. Seriously…I think this sequin is one of my all time favorite mixes!
The second card might look complicated…but it was just as easy as the first one. Coloring the ice cream truck from the I Scream for Ice Cream Stamp Set was so much fun…and those little musical notes. SO CUTE! If you look closely you’ll see the embossed background on this card. It was so easy to make using the long, pom pom garland image in the Punctuated Party Stamp Set. The white on white look is super subtle…and I love the texture it adds here.
Card number three is the first card I made…and I think it’s my favorite! More water coloring, sequin and black splatters. And the splatters…they were made with my Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Premium Archival Ink. I created a pool in the ink pad lid there, too…added a bit of water to my brush only…and pulled up just a bit of ink for the splatters. The were perfect…and the stay cool sentiment from the I Scream You Scream Stamp Set is perfect, too.
Finally…I used the Celebrate Die and several Sum-Sum-Summertime 6×6″ Patterned Paper designs to create this super easy card. I love the way the cut makes the designs look almost floral. And…adding a bit of the Charleston Sequin Mix makes the card feel magical!
