What to Make When You Hibernate – Valentines, Galentines, all the Tines!

Welcome…I’m so glad you’re here!  I’m hopping with a new group today…originally called Crafty Festival of Christmas 2019.  It seems that these these crafty creators had so much fun they wanted to keep going with a weekly hop.  The group decided to share the fun, too…and I’m thrilled to a newbie to the group!  There’s tons of crafty fun ahead…and tonight we’re staring with a sweetheart of a theme:  Valentines, Galentines, all the Tines!  Today I’m sharing Valentine packaging featuring the Everyday Purse Bundle…an amazing collaboration between Concord & 9th and Becky Roberts of Inking Idaho!

This bundle is SO. MUCH. FUN…and it’s everything you need to make the most adorable mini purse projects.  But if you know me…you know that I love to go over-the-top with my packaging…so I’m also featuring a super cute Pink Paislee Lucky Us Paper 4 that I picked up at Scrapbook.com and Small Blooms dies from The Stamp Market.

Seriously…the Lucky Us DSP is so stinking cute on both sides…so, of course, I had to make something with each of them!  Before I got to work, though…I watched Becky’s YouTube video Everyday Purse Bundle Assembly  She really does a great job of explaining the pieces included in the bundle and how to use them.

I started by cutting the purse front and back in the black and white XO print and putting them together.  The print so reminds me of a real designer bag!  I added black accents and handles…and then cut Small Blooms die pieces in two shades of red…and green and black leaves and centers…and created the flowers.  I then attached them to the purse front… created the tassel and tags…and tied them on with a bit of gold cord.  Finally…I added a few gold sequins and printed, red tissue paper.

I call the next bag Pink.  The hearts print is darling…and I wanted the handles, patches and tassel to resemble pink leather…which I love!  I first cut and attached the bag pieces…and then cut the rest of the bag pieces in Color Crush cardstock in Fresh Pink.  Final cuts included the tag and hey dies…and the heart medallion.  I added the “leather” to the bag…tied on the tag and tassel…and placed the heart medallion just above the clasp on the closure.

If you don’t have your Everday Purse Bundle yet…run (don’t walk) to Concord & 9th to get yours!  If they’re out of stock when you get there, just click the email notification, and they’ll let you know when they’re available.  I missed the first round…and they let me know as soon as they were restocked.

Thank you so much for hopping with us!  Now…head over to see what Tania has for you.  It’s sure to be sweet!
