Just for You

Welcome…I’m so happy you’re here!  I’ve been experimenting with my new Distress Oxide Inks..practicing blending and sometimes adding a bit of water…and I’m having a blast!  I seriously love that anything you blend is so pretty…and usable for something fun!   For this project I grabbed a couple of my blended pieces and my Concord & 9th Fringe Frenzy stamps and dies…and got to work for some cards and tags.  Let’s check it out!

I’m totally loving the cakes with the smoothed, scraped sides I’m seeing all over on Pinterest and Instagram…and I thought it would be fun to make one with a bit of my blended pieces.  I simply stamped the front panel with the cake pedestal, candles and confetti stamps…and used the coordinating die to cut the cake itself, which I stamped with the just for you sentiment.  I added a few sequins…and attached the panel to the card base.  These cards were super easy to create…so I did two…and then matching tags, too!

The tags were done with the same, exact process.  I stamped the gift bow and confetti images…and cut and stamped the gift element.  I added the confetti…cut and died the it’s your day sentiment…and attached it to the tag with a bit of black twine.  Each card has a coordinating tag…

…and the tags look great on a bag or a gift box, too!
