So…s’mores are a big deal at our house, and I typically document the first and last s’mores of the year. I often create fun packaging for our grandsons, too. They act like they’re outgrowing it…but I’ll keep doing it as long as I see even a hint of a smile from them. Ha! I recently picked up Hero Arts S’mores Bonfire Stamp Set and coordinating S’mores Bonfire Frame Cuts…and I had so much fun with this project! Seriously…these stamps and dies…heaven sent I tell ‘ya!
If you look closely you’ll see the sentiment I used doesn’t exist in the stamp set…unless you do a bit of mixing and matching. And in my studio that’s known as stamp cutting. I cut stamps all the time to get exactly what I want. I think it makes the sets more versatile…and photopolymer stamps are super easy to cut, move around and replace. So here’s what I did:
better around a bonfire + Camping is s’more fun with you= Life is s’more fun with you
I heat embossed the sentiment on blue card stock using black power…and layered it on a yellow, pinked circle. I also heat embossed the racoon, squirrel and campfire on black cardstock using white powder. This chalkboard look is my go to look when I’m creating for kids…and I love pairing it with bright colors. I die cut the critters and the fire using the coordinating dies and added them to the circle element using foam dots.
I cut gingham papers for the package topper base…and added the embossed element.
I slipped the crackers, marshmallows and chocolate into cello bags…attached the topper…and tied on a bit of twine. And yes…I did add two pieces of chocolate.
And that’s it. Bright, fun…and ready to go for the weekend!
Thank you so much for hopping with the Crafty Friends. And now…hop over to see what my talented, Crafty Friend Sara has for you! And in case you need it…here’s the hop list!
