Hello…and welcome to Monday’s Concord & 9th December 2020 Release Feature Friday! We took the day off on Friday to celebrate Christmas…but we’re back today with another look at the oh so FABULOUS Concord & 9th and Inking Idaho collab…the Weekender Handbag Dies and coordinating Weekender Handbag Stamp Set! Here’s another look at them both.
If I could use only one word to describe these products…that word would be smooth! This bag goes together so smooth and easy…and every little trinket and stamp image is just a bonus! And if I was allowed just one more word…that word would be versatile. This sweet bag is just really perfect for any gifting occasion…and after creating several holiday Weekenders I thought it might be time to get a head start on something for Valentine’s Day.
I started by cutting the bag’s main piece and the stitched elements in Ballet Slipper cardstock to create the its body…and then cutting and adding contrasting handles and side panels cut in Black cardstock. Next I cut the small strap in black and the rings, key and heart lock in Silver Glitter Paper…and then attached them as shown. Finally…I created the black and silver element by cutting the small strap twice in black and once in silver and gluing them together…and adding it to the bag’s front for a fun, final touch.
I also just knew that a fun card card would be the perfect partner for this sweet bag. So…I cut a 3×3 folded note card in Ballet Slipper and stamped it several times with the I adore you and happy love day sentiments in Mushroom ink. I then cut the Bright Eyes Dies sunglasses frames in Silver Glitter Paper…the glasses shades in Black cardstock…and fun heart trinkets included in the Weekender Handbag Dies in Ballet Slipper cardstock. I assmbled the sunglasses…added them to the note card…and added a few rhinestones from my stash. And just like that my Valentine’s Day project was done!
We’re having so much fun with our hops we decided to hop again today to show off the Weekender Handbag Bundle!
