hi…happy wednesday! today is got treats? day three…and seriously, i’m just as excited today about this as i was on day one (and two)! i’m featuring one of my favorite little boxes…in two colors…the popcorn mini box. it’s available now in my kraft it simply store in kraft, black and cantaloupe…and i’ll be adding several new colors soon. i’ll share it all here…and i just know it won’t be long until it’s your favorite, too!
i’ve been planning these little boxes for such a long time…the boo box with fun fall/halloween colors…and the sweetest pumpkin box all tied up like a real pumpkin. they came out just like i hoped the would!
i started with the boo box…featuring the popcorn mini box in kraft and the hexagon color wheel dies from the stamp market. i first cut the color wheel die in kraft paper and several other colors…removed the pieces from the kraft wheel…and added pieces from each other color to get the bright, fun look. i then die cut a patterned paper star, glued it behind the wheel and attached it all to the assembled box. i cut the word boo from white glitter paper…attached it to the wheel…and then added a length of frayed woven ribbon between the wheel and the star. i love how mysterious the frayed ribbon looks. it’s almost spooky!
i embossed the you’ve been boo’d sentiment from the the last bite by julie ebersole, essentials by ellen stamp set to a bit of slate cardstock…placed it on a wooden skewer…and added it to the box i had filled with another family favorite, puppy chow (also known as muddy buddies.) creating several of this box would be super easy by alternating the use of the color wheel pieces already cut. they’re super fun to make…and each treat would be unique.
this is another treat that was super easy…and isn’t it just darling? it was totally inspired by the sweetest pumpkin in the whole patch sentiment from the honeybee stamps faboolous sentiments stamp set…and i saw the cantaloupe popcorn mini box as a pumpkin the minute i saw it. the sweet sentiment and the little pumpkin came together just as i had wished they would. first…i tied the assembled box with orange ribbon…cut the leaves in mossy with the autumn leaves dies from the stamp market…and tied them to the box with a bit of kraft twine. i then stamped the sentiment on kraft paper using black ink…and stapled it to the box front. now that’s easy!
i couldn’t resist filling this box with puppy chow, too…and it’s just as sweet!
thanks so much for stopping by for got treats? day three…and i hope you’ll stop back tomorrow for day four! if you haven’t done it yet…hop over to see what becky roberts has to share today! i know you’ll love it!
