Welcome! I’m so happy you’re here for Fancy Friday Blog Hop! It’s a super fun hop where I’m lucky to get to work with some Fancy friends…who also happen to be past or current Stampin’ Up! Artisans! On the last Friday of each month we hop with a new challenge…and this month’s challenge is to show some love for Designer Series Paper! One of the reasons I LOVE DSP is because the color, pattern or texture we use can change the entire tone or meaning of our project…and that’s what I worked with for this challenge. To use one stamp set…and to use DSP to create two very different projects. So…let’s check it out!
The Geared Up Garage products are some of my favorites ever…and guy projects are so easy to create with them…like the one on the right. I grabbed another favorite of mine…the now retired black and white striped pattern from the Botanical Butterfly DSP…and created a simple matchbook style card/treat holder. I added red, green and silver elements…and together it’s a totally guy worth project! Oh…and I actually made two of them…one to give to each of my grandsons this summer. I often tell them they make my heart happy…and this fits the bill to send that message in a card…or with a treat!
Of course…now that I have a granddaughter…I need to have goodies for her too! She, too, makes my heart happy! She’s not ready for treats yet…but I thought a Geared Up card would be just as fun for her! Actually…it’s pretty fitting, too…because her daddy is a car guy who can’t wait to get her into the garage with him. I’m sure it’ll be no time at all before she’s under the hood…or the car! For her card…I decided on something CAS…adding a bit of Brights 6 x 6 DSP…with light pink and fancy black accents…all on tons of white. I’ll leave her a sweet note that I know her mama will tuck away for her to read when she’s older.
Thank you so much for stopping by for the Fancy Friday Blog Hop! I hope you’ll be inspired to create something fabulous with this with your favorite DSP…and I’d LOVE to see it! So…post it, using #fancyfridaybloghop when you share it…and let me or one of my Fancy friends know!
