hello…happy friday! today i’m sharing a few fun projects featuring stamps and dies from technique tuesday to help kick off their christmas in july event! the technique tuesday christmas page is chock full of just what you need for the holidays. cards, gift tags, decor and memory keeping…it’s all there, and…there’s a sale, too! everything christmas is 25% off from today until sunday!
i got to work with the december moments stamp set for this card that i can’t wait to send out this year! the sentiments here list many of our family traditions…and i though it would be fun to create a card as a reminder that it’s time to get our holiday calendar together. i used several of the sentiments to create a panel describing some of our favorite december activities for the card’s front. i added an embossed sentiment on red cardstock and enamel dots in red, orange and green to add bright, fun pops of color.
i then grabbed the dear santa stamps clear stamps with matching dies bundle to create two fun cards with graphic, non-traditional holiday colors. for this first card i placed a piece of brightly colored designer paper on a white card base, wrapping the base with baker’s twine. i stamped the dear santa and is it too late to negotiate? sentiments on white cardstock in black ink and cut them using a circle die. i heat embossed the santa image onto black cardstock using white powder and cut the image using the coordinating santa die. i placed the sentiment circle and the santa image on the card base and added coordinating enamel dots.
for this second card i stamped ho ho ho sentiment from the dear santa stamp set three times and cut them using the coordinating die. i then placed them on designer paper in bright, non-traditional holiday colors and added black enamel dots for a fun card with a modern twist.
i also used the dear santa clear stamps with matching dies for this final, gift box project. i first wrapped the kraft pillow box in a strip of designer paper and tied on a bit of baker’s twine. i cut holly leaves and stamped them with the from your secret santa sentiment. i heat embossed the santa image onto red cardstock using white powder and cut the image using the coordinating santa die. i cut the snowflake in silver glitter paper, layered the pieces together and attached it all to the box. finally, I added silver sequins.
