Welcome…I’m so glad you’re here! Today I have a super fun project and coordinating packaging to share…both featuring these favorites from The Stamp Market.
I started with this fun tag, cutting the tag base, shaker frame and to and from words in white cardstock using the Jumbo Tag and Shaker Tag dies. I then grabbed several Color Crush cardstock pieces (Blush, Cherry Kisses, Cactus and Sea Glass) and cut each using the 1/4″ Quick Strips Die…combined them to create one wide stripe…placed them on the card base…and attached the shaker frame.
I die cut the tree in Cherry Kisses cardstock using the Dotted Tree Die…the heart in Blush cardstock using the coordinating die from the So Mini Hellos Bundle…stapled them together…and added them to the tag. Finally…I attached the die cut to and from word elements…and added a bit of white baker’s twine.
If you’re a frequent visitor you know that I LOVE stitching dies…and stitching with felt. Ornaments, booties, scissor keepers, key rings, coin purses, barettes, coasters, coffee cozies, etc….I’ve made it all! Every year I do an ornament for all the littles in our family, and I’ve try to add a something new (or two) to our tree, also. In all honesty, I do a LOT of stitching at the last minute…and I’ve decided that’s not going to happen this year. My goal is to get at least one holiday gift stitched each month for this hop…and so…I started with this stitched hoop.
I just need to talk about felt for a minute. I love felt as much as I love DSP…and I recently became aware of Benzie Design felt. Seriously…what kind of a bubble was I in that I had never heard of Benzie?!? And guess what? Their store is just about an hour from our home. Crazy, right?!? So…I may or may not have made a trip there already and placed several orders, too. LOL I gotta say I think it’s awesome that Benzie uses and promotes stitching dies that I already use and love…like this Dotted Tree Die. Of course, then…my first stitched holiday project had to inclulde Benzie felt and the Dotted Tree Die from The Stamp Market.
I started by cutting two tree images in both Peony and Seafoam. The tree cuts first without the stitching holes, so I ran them through the machine again to add the stitching holes…and then also added the stitching holes to the Strawberry felt I had chosen to use as the base color. I stitched on the trees using white floss…placed the project in an 8″ hoop…and trimmed it all up. Seriously…so quick and easy!
I’ll package it up in a simple kraft bag…add the coodinating tag…and I’ll be ready to go!
Thank you so much for hopping with us! Now…head over to see what Tania has for you. It’s sure to be fabulous!
